Region Bremen - changeover between schools and labour market

Within the project “regional labour market” Bremen region is dealing with the improvement of changeover between schools and labour market. The aim of this project is to improve utilization of young labour-force resources by enhancing school education and apprenticeship.

The results and findings of an expert workshop and a “regional talk” on the topic “education and labour market” are integrated in the survey “schools and labour market – examples for cooperation and options for action”. In this survey, good examples are presented via introducing ten case studies. These case studies attend to improve in-plant apprenticeship, organization of school education, cooperation between schools and enterprises and to implement school projects for assisting the formation of adolescents social skills. Furthermore, the survey describes options for action for municipalities to improve the apprenticeship within their area of responsibility independently.
