DC NOISE selected for the ETC conference film!
In September of this year a joint conference of ETC Transnational Cooperation Programmes will take place in Katowice, Poland. One of the main objectives of the event is to present and visualise the benefit of European transnational cooperation to relevant target groups. The Live Group has been commissioned to produce a short film about the work of the projects. The short film consists of a collection of statements from project members, aiming to bring to life the results or value of the project. Out of the many Interreg projects DC NOISE was selected and the film crew came to the municipality of Stadskanaal to film the pilot on prevention measures, whereby volunteers help the elderly stay in their homes longer by investigating their needs and react upon these needs when necessary.
The messages about DC NOISE and the specific pilot were:
- In DC NOISE we found ways to cope with the consequences of demographic change to maintain the quality of life.
- Thanks to DC NOISE we have a better insight of the problems that elderly people encounter in their living conditions and can help them accordingly.
- As a volunteer for DC Noise I help elderly people to organise the care that they need so they can stay in their homes longer.

Mrs. Yne Jacobs-van Son (82 years old) and senior advisor Mrs. Tineke Suk (volunteer) did a very good job and presented very well the scope of DC NOISE.
