Conference about ageing and barrier-free building

On Wednesday, September 22 the annual conference "The changes of demographic developments for living and housing" of the German / Dutch project Wohnen im Wandel/ Wonen in Beweging took place. With nearly 80 visitors, consisting of both Dutch and German experts, it was a successful meeting. Participants came from various fields, such as municipalities, housing corporations and companies from the construction sector.
During the conference the importance of barrier-free housing and an accessible residential environment has been made clear once again. A number of illustrative case studies served as eye-opener and also the opportunities there are to combine energy measures and measures to make a building barriere-free were reviewed.

The project Wohnen im Wandel/ Wonen in Beweging is under the INTERREG IV A Programme Deutschland-Netherlands co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Province of Overijssel and Gelderland, Niedersächsisches Ministerium für Wirtschaft, Arbeit und Verkehr en Ministerium für Wirtschaft, Mittelstand und Energie des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen.
