Within the framework of DC NOISE the Kommunal¬verbund initiated the Competition 'Places with Future – Not without networks' in which nearly. The target group were initiatives and institutions facing the demographic change in an innovative way. Thirty regional projects participated. The projects cover a wide range of approaches, ranging from adapted constructional measures, advancing the dialogues between the generations and progamms for youth and elderly.
The main criterion was the cooperation of different stakeholders. Further criteria on which the rating of the jury is based are the following: topic, cooperative/regional approach, level of innovation / expermental approach and transferability.
We managed to get important people into the jury that were able to attract attention to the competition and that also can spread the ideas. The proces were awarded during a big ceremony in November.
Currently the winners start to implement their ideas using the prize money. All contributions are presented in an touring exhibiton.
