Expected results

 

Implementation of activities within the field of the labour market, housing and services as well as raising awareness, monitoring and adaptation strategies for areas of significant population change are recognized by DC NOISE partners as the common priorities. Actions will function as triggers and good examples in the process.

 

Through the implementation of 24 demonstration pilots and 3 transnational pilots several deliverables are expected:

 

Labour market

  • 50+ employment: senior policy, a job-seeker instrument, change in mentality towards retirement age, innovative methodology to transfer company specific core knowledge of older employees.
  • Brain gain: network of private/public partners, location study on highly qualified employees, insight in causes and consequences, set of concrete measures for individual and joint employers, higher percentage of higher educated, people employed, including immigrants.
  • Reintegration: integration-methods for elderly (50+), higher integration- and employment-rates, re-education and recruitment of economically vulnerable employees, including youngsters and immigrants.
  • Health/care: ICT applications, increased labour market participation, training in health sector, increased vertical cooperation;
  • Transnational project on the EU labour market resulting in a strategic document with best practices and advice aimed at influencing EU labour market policies.

Service provision


  • Mobility: improved living facilities and infrastructure for the elderly;
  • ‘Do more with ICT’: services using ambient technology and ICT solutions.

Innovative housing


  • Housing and (care) services: new housing concepts combined with care and quality of life of the elderly, measures to prevent loneliness/accidents, analysis of ICT impact on day-to-day life; 
  • Revitalizing the housing market: methods to facilitate and regulate decline on the housing market, improvement of home and public space, reorganization of the decision- making process and financial arrangements;
